A large, late, dual-purpose apple with greenish-yellow skin and pale yellow, crisp, juicy, fairly coarse flesh which has a sweet, honeyed flavour at its best, keeping its shape when cooked. Vigorous, spreading, triploid trees produce heavy crops in mid-autumn, storing to early spring. Requires a group 2, 3 or 4 pollinator. Raised at the Aomori Apple Experimental Station in Japan, in 1930
