An unusual but highly attractive variety with mid-green foliage that turns a brilliant scarlet red in autumn. Clusters of small white flowers appear in spring and are followed by 2-3cm long, teardrop shaped fruits with a sweet, blueberry flavour, from June to the first frost

How to Grow

Cultivation

Plant in a sheltered site in well-drained, moisture-retentive, acidic soil, (pH 4.5-5.5) in sun or part shade. Alternatively grow in containers or raised beds filled with peat-free, ericaceous compost . Pot grown plants benefit from winter protection. Propagation

Propagate by taking softwood cuttings in late spring or semi-ripe cuttings in early summer
