A clump-forming perennial to about 70cm tall, bearing mid-green leaves 6cm long, margined creamy-white and lightly flushed pink in spring, cream in summer then yellow in autumn. Flowerheads 4cm across, are light violet-blue or white with yellow centres, produced from summer to autumn
