A vigorous herbaceous perennial to 50cm tall, with ovate green leaves which turn orange-red in the autumn. Nodding, bright orange, bell-shaped flowers 2cm wide appear in autumn, followed by masses of unusual, inflated, chilli-like deep orange calyces
