A clump-forming, short-lived perennial to about 90cm, with mid-green, divided leaves. Long-spurred, outward-facing flowers appear from late spring to mid-summer, with white inner petals, long, rather narrow, slightly twisted, dark red outer petals and dark red spurs

Propagation

Propagate by seed; home-saved seed may not come true. Established plants can also be propagated by division in spring, but they dislike root disturbance and will be slow to recover
