The garden draws inspiration from the experience of being outdoors walking and taking in nature and specifically the poem Song by Ted Hughes, which culminates in the line ‘I follow the waters and the wind still’.
The Malvern Hills and the spa town are points of reference in this design, with undulating paths and flowing water in the natural rock pool. As the visitor walks along the boundary path, they hear the water and feel the wind just as they would if they were walking in a natural environment. The design invites the visitor to pay attention to our sensory responses to the elements
