Join John Killingbeck, a former lecturer at Bishop Burton Horticultural College, Yorkshire, as he shows you how garden ponds can be created in even the smallest area. Whether you want to create and maintain a haven for wildlife or build something more formal, this course will be a good place to start.

The course is suitable for beginners and more experienced gardeners alike, as John will take into account course participants’ needs in this conversational style course. He will start by taking you through the basics of building and maintaining garden ponds and then go on to cover trickier issues of pond management and stocking.

He will use the wildlife pond and the rill here in the garden to illustrate both wildlife and ornamental ponds and as an aid to discussion.
