  • Genus Salvia can be annuals, biennials, herbaceous or evergreen perennials, or shrubs. They have paired, simple or pinnately lobed, often aromatic leaves and 2-lipped flowers in whorls, forming simple or branched spikes or racemes

  • Details S. roemeriana is a compact perennial to 60cm, sometimes grown as an annual, with rounded or heart-shaped leaves, and purplish stems each bearing whorls of scarlet, two-lipped flowers 2-3cm in length, from midsummer to late autumn

How to grow
