A spreading, deciduous shrub to about 2.5m in height, with arching branches bearing toothed, elliptic, mid-green leaves to 6cm long, which turn vivid orange-red in autumn. Pendent, red-stalked racemes of small yellow flowers in late spring are followed by a good display of deep red berries in autumn

Cultivation
