When to grow

Wallflower seeds can be sown in the spring but wallflower plug plants (baby plants) can be planted in the garden in November.

What you need

  • Gardening gloves
  • Trowel
  • Wallflower plug plants from a garden centre
  • Plant label

How to grow

  1. Choose a sunny place at the front of your flower bed and clear the space of weeds.
  2. Dig a hole for each plug plant so that the base of the stem of the plant is level with the surface of the soil.
  3. Fill the soil in around the plant and firm in. Leave spaces of 20cm (8in) between the plants and water well.
