A climbing annual which reaches 60cm. The leaves are narrow and green but there are few of them, however there are plenty of tendrils so that, if grown as a block, they support one another - meaning no sticks or string needed. White flowers become green pods, with dark green peas which freeze well.

Sow seed quite densely, in full sun in well-drained but moisture-retentive soil. Provide support such as twiggy hazel sticks or netting, for them to climb up. Pick pods regularly to ensure a continuous crop. For more advice, see pea cultivation
