The stamens have an evolving colouration, changing from pink to white, with rich golden anthers at their tips and great for pollinators. Broad new leaves emerge in a silvery flourish with a pink flush before maturing to olive green, borne on a rounded bushy branching frame

How to grow

Cultivation

Grow in moist but well-drained, neutral to acid soil in full sun; established plants are drought resistant. In colder areas grow under glass in peat-free, loam-based compost in full light with good ventilation. Pot on or top dress in early spring
