A dense, suckering, deciduous shrub, growing to 2m tall, with bright green, oval to lance-shaped leaves with serrated margins and attractive yellow autumn foliage. Small, white flowers, borne in spring, are followed by masses of long-lasting, glossy orange berries, if there is a male cultivar nearby for pollination
