Clump-forming, tuberous perennial about 30cm tall, with dark green, lance-shaped leaves. From midsummer to autumn it bears clusters of bright red, funnel-shaped flowers, blotched yellow in the throat, with dark crimson speckles and streaks on inner petals

How to grow
Cultivation
Grows in fertile, moist but well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. Young plants are best left undisturbed to form clumps. Use a dry mulch for the first two winters. See Alstroemeria cultivation for further advice
