A bushy evergreen shrub, to around 1m high, with highly aromatic, linear dark green leaves with pale, felted undersides. The leaves of this variety have a high concentration of oils, giving a stronger fragrance and flavour than some other varieties. Small, bright blue flowers are produced in the leaf axils in late spring and early summer, and sometimes again in autumn
