Antirrhinum (snapdragon) trial 2026

Objectives and purpose of the trial

This trial will compare new and established Antirrhinum (snapdragon) cultivars grown in open ground at both RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey and the Floral Fantasia area at RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Essex. The RHS last reviewed Antirrhinum cultivars in 2005 and since then many new forms have been introduced. This trial, taking place during summer, will bring together dwarf, medium and tall cultivars, including those bred especially for cut flower production. The best performers will go on to receive the RHS Recommended: Award of Garden Merit.
