Internships are a great way for students of practical horticulture to improve their gardening skills and get a taste of working life
This is the perfect way for students to have real experience working in horticulture before they decide to take it up for their career. The voluntary internship gives students the opportunity to work in a prestigious garden while learning gardening skills and techniques. Students work alongside experienced gardeners so they can train while they work. Much can be gained by being observant whilst being taught by our skilled garden staff.
How it works
The internships have now been running for several years and many previous participants are now making their way into horticultural careers, and some are even coming back to the RHS as fully fledged gardeners.
Every year a limited number of unwaged placements are available at RHS Garden Rosemoor, in Devon, for horticultural students seeking short-term (one to three months) work experience to supplement their studies.
The Voluntary Internship Programme at RHS Garden Rosemoor is full for 2021. Any applications submitted for the internship will be considered for 2022.
