Treat mum to spring colour and sweet indulgences this Mothering Sunday weekend, 10 - 11 March 2018
A day at an RHS Garden is the perfect Mother’s Day idea. Take a relaxed stroll to enjoy bright displays of spring bulbs, vibrant camellias and fresh new growth at every turn, rounding off your visit with a scrumptious afternoon tea treat in one of our cafes or restaurants.
Soak up spring with a Mother's Day weekend walk at Wisley. Visit the orchard for the first blossom and be uplifted by carpets of spring-flowering bulbs on the Alpine Meadow.
Early camellias will also be giving a taste of things to come on Battleston Hill and in Oakwood; C. x williamsii ‘Donation’ leads the charge with its showy, light rose-pink flowers.
On 10 March, the Orchid Show is a must-see for its colourful displays of rare orchids, unusual plants for sale, free orchid care workshops and the chance to get advice from friendly experts from the Orchid Society of Great Britain.
Round off your visit with a delicious Taste of Wisley treat in one of our tempting eateries. For something extra special, you can treat mum to a delicious two-course Mothering Sunday lunch or afternoon tea in the Terrace Room.

Why not take a stroll and see progress on our exciting new Winter Garden? Despite its name, this area isn't just for winter! We've planted waves of 50,000 spring-flowering bulbs throughout the garden, and in March, pretty Chionodoxa forbesii and Leucojum vernum should be flowering.
Treat mum to a day out at Hyde Hall and enjoy some tasty treats in either the Clover Café or Barn Restaurant.

Treat mum to a special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea on Saturday 10 March, featuring delicious teatime favourites presented on a tea stand.
Afternoon tea guests can also Watch Wendy Moray-Jones making exquisite peonies out of tissue paper (pictured), then take one of her delightful creations home.
Before tea, why not explore the new Spring Walk, a signposted trail highlighting key spring-flowering plants including masses of daffodils, camellias and magnolias.
Don't miss the Rosemoor Spring Flower Competitions (10–11 March). Enjoy exquisite displays of camellias, early magnolias and rhododendrons, visit trade and advice stands and pick up superb plants in the Rosemoor Plant Centre.

Pop in to the Bath House Gallery to see the Textiles Showcase (1 March–1 April), featuring beautiful pieces made by talented local textile artists.
And of course, a visit to Harlow Carr wouldn't be complete without a coffee and cake at Bettys Café Tea Rooms.
