Visiting the Garden Centre
Our foremost priority is always the health and safety of our members, visitors, staff and volunteers, and we ask that everyone continues to support efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.
Additional safety and hygiene measures remain in place, including availability of hand sanitiser for visitors and staff, and enhanced cleaning.
At busy times and in crowded areas, we ask that everyone be mindful of the needs of others by making space and considering wearing a face covering if you are able.
Choose us for availability
Throughout the year you will find we have a very good selection in stock. Spring heralds the traditional start of the gardening year when you will find us stocking up quickly, enabling you to make an early start. Then in summer a rush of visitors creates a strong demand for plants, so you will find fresh stock out on sale virtually every day, including many pretty herbaceous plants in flower. Autumn is a great time for planting and you will find us keeping stocked up so you can take advantage of this with plenty to last us to the end of the year.
Shop with confidence
All hardy stock is guaranteed for five years. All we ask is that you return it with the receipt for a credit or replacement (please note that houseplants and sale items are not covered by the five-year guarantee).
Proud to be supporting our horticultural industry - over 90% of the plants we sell are specially grown for us by nurseries across Great Britain, including many in the local area.
More than just plants
Don’t forget we also sell a selection of garden fertilisers, pest & disease control, and a specially selected range of pots and other decorative items to enhance your garden. These include metal sculptures, garden lighting and garden furniture.
Potting & wrapping
We will plant up pots while you wait for a small fee, and all of our plants and products can be wrapped beautifully for that special gift.
Collect by car
We know it can be tricky navigating your plant purchases back to your car, which is why we offer a collect by car service. This means you can shop and then simply drive up to collect your plants when you’re ready to head home. Ask one of our Garden Centre team for more information.
Help and advice
Our experienced and friendly staff are always on hand to give help and assistance whether you are a beginner gardener, a plant collector, or someone just out browsing for something pretty. We strive to have an information card next to each plant to give you a brief description to help you choose the right one.
The Wisley Garden Centre has been given the Mayor's Award for Access. They were nominated by people with disabilities who reside in the borough of Guildford, so you will find wide aisles and step-free routes.
Make a note in your calendar each year for August-September when the autumn-planting bulbs are in stock and again for January when the spring-planting bulbs arrive. January is also the time to buy your seed potatoes – leave it too late and you will find we have sold out.
For the home
We have a fantastic range of orchids for the home, alongside our usual range of houseplants, which include flowering and foliage plants and even some indoor bonsai plants.
RHS gift vouchers or HTA garden centre vouchers, including plastic gift cards, make great presents at any time of year and are accepted in any RHS Garden Centre. For more details ask a member of staff or contact customer services.
Profits from the RHS Garden Wisley Garden Centre make an important contribution to the charitable activities of the RHS.
At GCA member garden centres you can be assured of excellent levels of service, quality plants and professional advice and information. This also means we are mystery shopped each year with a report on how we compare with other member garden centres.
Please note, we don't offer mail order at the Garden Centre – we generally offer a larger pot size and plant than you would usually get from mail order companies.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Wisley Garden Centre soon.
