A new dedicated bridge into RHS Wisley is now open. If travelling by car, visitors who would normally access the garden from the A3 will now use Ockham Park roundabout and follow new signage onto the bridge and over the A3 to the existing RHS Wisley entrance. Find out more

Applications are open for 2025

We welcome applications for the 2025 RHS Garden Wisley Community Allotments Project. Please complete and return the 2025 application form, found below, by 13 January 2025.

About the project

Successful candidates will have their own plot at RHS Garden Wisley to tend from February 2025 to January 2026, enjoying the opportunity to grow both summer and winter crops. You will get to take home armfuls of allotment-grown produce to enjoy, and receive eight allotment masterclasses with the RHS team. These take place on Thursdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm. You need to be available to attend.

This is a wonderful opportunity for novice growers to learn the art of ‘allotmenteering’ under the expert guidance of the RHS team. We are delighted to offer this project and hope those who take part will use their new knowledge to inspire others to grow in their communities. Priority will be given to candidates who can share the knowledge with others e.g. community groups, after-school clubs or in community spaces.

‘As well as potatoes, onions, sweetcorn, squash and other delicious crops, participants also grow things they can’t eat – confidence, knowledge and some great friendships.’

The cost to participate is £120 (to be confirmed for 2025), which covers the cost of secateurs, gardening boots, gloves and seeds. All participants will be provided with additional tools to use while on site. Participants will have access to their plots each day (during garden opening times) and should be able to commit to regularly tend and water their plots, as well as attending the monthly masterclass sessions.
