Rather than treating nettles as a problem, I think we should be promoting them as a highly beneficial wild plant. They are one of the most common wild plants in the British Isles. Perennial and resilient, they are edible (raw or cooked), can be used to make a green tea, are used in herbal medicine and can be made into fibre for yarn. I love to cook them in place of spinach or blend them (raw) in a green smoothie. Please everyone, use them, don't get rid of them!
