Amy Adams

I am fascinated by the relationship between plants and people, and how they can each nurture the best in one another

I work for the RHS as Courses and Workshops Coordinator at Wisley. I am privileged each day to be surrounded by the enthusiasm of many people, from course attendees ready to learn something new, to our fantastic team of experts ready to teach them. I am passionate about learning, helping others to learn and making horticulture accessible to all.

My academic background is in psychology. I like to understand people and what makes them happy. Plants bring people joy, and I love enabling people to engage in horticulture and further their connection with the natural world, whatever their age or level of experience.

The plants that bring me joy are the giants and the miniatures of the plant world; trees and alpines. For me though, the greatest delight comes from growing vegetables. Nurturing these gifts from the ground that will provide nourishment in return, brings me an unrivalled sense of satisfaction and connection with nature.
