Peter Beales Roses Vigorous, suckering old rose about 2.5m tall, used in the past as a rootstock and so frequently found in old gardens. Dark stems are almost thornless and bear coarse dark green leaves. Trusses of fully double very fragrant magenta blooms fade to lilac-pink, and are once flowering in midsummer; introduced in 1845
