Compact, bushy rose about 60-90cm in height, with healthy dark green leaves. Clusters of fragrant, fully double, velvet-purple blooms with frilly-edged petals, repeat-flower from early summer to the first frosts in autumn; this rose celebrates the Queens Golden Jubilee visit to Liverpool in 2002.

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Suited to container cultivation. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation

Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn, softwood cuttings (under glass) in spring or summer or by chip budding in summer
