Unique, very unusual rose to 90cm tall, a sport of 'Old Blush China', with very healthy, glossy, green foliage and bearing flowers composed of a multitude of green, pink and coppery leafy bracts and no petals in the usual form. Blooms are freely produced and change to purplish-brown with age, repeat-flowering through summer to autumn. Ideal for flower arranging.

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation

For home use, propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn, softwood cuttings (under glass) in spring or summer or by chip budding in summer
