Very floriferous rambler to 6m tall, with strong, almost thornless stems and light green foliage. Large clusters of fragrant, fully-double, globular, white blooms, tinted pink, are produced in early summer on stems from the previous season, followed by small, rounded, smooth red fruits (hips) in autumn

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade - tolerant of north facing situations and ideal for growing into trees. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation

Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn, softwood cuttings (under glass) in spring or summer or by chip budding in summer
