Rambler rose about 3.5-4.5m tall, with pliable stems and mid-green leaves. A profusion of very double, slightly fragrant, pale pink blooms, in smallish clusters, fade to white, and have a button centre and occasional green eye, flowering from mid to late summer; tolerant of some shade, suited to growing into large trees; introduced in 1843

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun, tolerant of part shade. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation
