Compact rose about 90cm tall, with upright growth, thorny stemss and plentiful very dark green foliage. Very free-flowering and repeating through summer, with richly fragrant, fully double, dark crimson-purple rosette blooms paler on the outer petals and very flat when opened. Prefers a warm, dry climate. 1855

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation
