High Tide 2030

Back to Back Gardens
Designed as a predictive contemporary and family coastal garden set 15 years from now, High Tide 2030 is designed to provoke and raise public awareness of the threat to coastal home owners due to global warming, rising temperatures and sea levels.

This is a small private beach garden set beside a tidal inlet. The unique and wave-inspired design has an innovative, curvilinear, floating fraphic relief wall, and incorporates sand-texture concrete patio tables and seats.

The orange and blue planting palette is unusually striking and inspired by the recent painting by Natasha Tayles in her recent abstract study of Orange & Blue an artistic expression of harking back to nature, using stunningly bright circles of orange and blue.

With thanks to GDS, HardbyDesign, Tata Steel, Emmersons NI, O’Briens Landscapes, NJ Power and Owen Jacobsen for their support creating this garden.
