Hi there, very useful info thanks. I have dahlias that have overwintered fine in their current spot for a couple of years, I'd prefer not to go to all the trouble of lifting 7 drying them - especially as sounds like you can get rot at this stage if you're not careful..BUT I do want to move my dahlia bed. Could I just move them now & re-plan in the new spot with a load of compost over the top to keep them warm, or should I really lift them and dry them out properly then re-plant next May? I'd prefer the former if its likely to work.. Thanks! ..E
