Join the Hebe and Australasian Plant societies at RHS Garden Wisley to find out more about these interesting and drought tolerant plants. See a small display of plants, including some scented varieties – Corymbia citriodora with lemon scented foliage and Philotheca myoporoides, which wafts gin and tonic when brushed against.

The Hebe display showcases new and old, with Hebe 'Franciscana', the first hebe to arrive in the UK, and one of the newest hebe varieties, which is as yet unnamed – but has been given the temporary name of ‘Gran’s Blue Rinse’.

Highlights of the day
  • 11.30am: Talk – Growing hebes in your garden
  • 12.30pm: Guided tour of the Wisley Hebe trials
