Sport of ‘Quatre Saisons’, an old garden rose, about 1.2m tall with brownish-green moss on the stems and buds, and downy greyish-green foliage. Clusters of highly mossed buds open to reveal very fragrant, pure white semi-double blooms, almost continuously in flower from early summer to autumn, good in part shade; Laffay 1835

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation
