Large, bushy, old-fashioned rose about 1.5-1.8m tall, a sport of 'Mme Isaac Pereire', with arching stems carrying dark green leaves. Large, cabbage-like, flat, quartered blooms in shades of pale pink with yellow anthers, have a powerful fragrance, repeat-flowers through summer to autumn and does well in the shade; introduced in 1888

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation
