Adlington Hall: A Rustic Snuggery
Evoking a more intimate and rustic style of gardening with a hand-crafted oak seat surrounded by herbaceous planting
Show Features
This feature is evocative of the early 19th-century garden at Adlington when a more intimate and rustic style of gardening was practised. A hand-crafted oak seat is surrounded by shrubs such as Amelanchier canadensis and Clethra alnifolia with simple herbaceous planting of meadowsweet and tobacco plants. The visitors to the show will be encouraged to use the seat and stay awhile in the snuggery.
