Great Gardens of the USA: The Oregon Garden

World Gardens
The natural beauty of the landscape of Oregon with its mountains, wine country and scenic gorges provide the inspiration for The Oregon Garden.

The backdrop is formed by rocky outcrops planted with conifer trees and over which a cascading water feature flows. The garden’s pathways are constructed from crushed stone. The central area is lined with grape vines representing the many vineyards found in Oregon. Also incorporated into the garden are lupins, Sidalcea, Tellima grandiflora, Gallardia, Deschampsia cespitosa and Achillea.
