Vigorous rambler rose about 4.5m tall, with almost thornless stems, and dense dark green foliage. Very large clusters of small, single, velvety crimson blooms each with a white eye and prominent yellow stamens, producing a flush of flower in midsummer and occasionally repeat-flower later in the season, followed by scarlet fruits (hips)

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Mulch with well-rotted organic matter in late winter or early spring, and for best flowering apply a general rose or shrub fertiliser in early spring and again in early summer. See rose cultivation
