Elements Mystique Garden

Show Gardens

Did you know...

  • The path to the meteor is formed from one large Caledonian stone boulder cut into slithers, small boulder like echoes of the stone are also dotted around the garden
  • The garden's designer, met the meteors sculptor while living in Belgium and commissioned him to create the Indatan steel orb - which is made from the same material as the ArcelorMittal Orbit in London

About the garden

Inspired by the work of Belgian sculptor William Roobrouck, Elements Garden Design has sought to showcase this artist’s latest statement piece – a 2.5m (8ft) diameter steel sphere, which represents a fallen meteor

Having crash landed into an urban setting, the impact has blackened the fencing, burnt the trees, scorched the surrounding vegetation and ruptured the paving of this otherwise unassuming garden.

Featuring cedar screening blackened by the Japanese art of Shou-Sugi-Ban, natural Caledonian stone and an array of black foliage plants, this garden seeks to tell a story of beauty within chaos.
