We have combined these two powerful search tools into a single Find a Plant service searching over 250,000 plant records.
Virtually all of the features of the old searches are still available and in addition we have added several new features to create a more comprehensive and user friendly search experience.
When using this search
Search by plant name, key attributes or both to find plant details and a list of suppliers.
AGM plants have been through a rigorous trial and assessment programme. They are:
The National Plant Collection of hollies (Ilex species and cultivars) is held at RHS Garden Rosemoor, the Society's Devon garden. This collection includes more than 160 accessions, representing 44 species and subspecific taxa, and 120 cultivars. Recently we have made substantial additions to the collection. Unfortunately, some disease problems have also arisen. Plants from the collection can be seen throughout the garden, and talks and garden walks have been given, concentrating on the value of these shrubs. The entire collection is being catalogued in the RHS Horticultural Database, including information as to each plant's sex. It is hoped to start soon on the important task of making herbarium and photographic records of the collection.
