Believe in Tomorrow Garden

Global Impact Gardens

Believe in Tomorrow is a vision for the ideal primary school garden. It has education at its heart and aims to help reconnect children with nature.

Based on the elements of earth, fire, wind and water, this walk-through garden is part-oasis, part-playground and part-classroom. It features a pond, secret pathways with secluded spots, a log arch, raised lawn, wildflowers and raised edible planting beds. It is designed to help inspire and educate children about the natural world.

What’s more, that learning process starts with the creation of the garden and ends with its relocation to five inner city schools. Local school children have grown some of the plants on display and built boats for the pond.

It features plants from around the world. A pear tree provides lessons in pollination, and coppiced Salix (willow) teaches about wood management and provides materials for creative purposes such as sculpting.

The multistem woodland is full of den-making potential. This is a space that children can make their own.
