Epimedium x youngianum RoseumThe woodland gardens at RHS Garden Wisley provide an ideal habitat for the National Plant Collection of Epimedium, which is now well established. The collection contains nearly 250 accessions. A central reference collection is being built up from the accessions distributed around the garden at Wisley.

In good flowering seasons, the collection generates much interest among visitors to the garden. In addition, active contacts are maintained with a variety of other institutions and individuals.

The entire collection is catalogued in the RHS Horticultural Database, and steady progress is being made in creating herbarium and photographic records of the collection.
